About the exhibit
These photographs are from the series Microcurrents, and are studies of the topography of water in small streams. The primary subject of these photographs are the specular glints of bright sunlight reflecting off the surface of water in a small Connecticut stream. The camera is fixed on a tripod, and under one second exposures are made that record the light moving on the surface of the water. This allows us to visualize the topography of the water in remarkable detail. The images are unmanipulated photographic documents.
